There is always a need for volunteers!

The opportunities PrideRock provides for volunteer work are important to our mission of providing the best possible environment for our animals. If you don‘t mind hard, dirty work in extreme weather conditions, and love big cats, then this is the place for you. There are ways to get involved both at the facility and off-site.

To qualify, you must be at least 18 years of age or older, can commit to two days per month, and work at least 4 hours each day. Work day is from 8:00am-5:00pm each day.

On-Site
Duties

On-Site Duties

On-site duties will include performing basic grounds keeping and maintenance. This can include general clea-up of the grounds, mowing, landscaping work, and repairing equipment and structures.

Occasionally, a construction project may require assistance.

Feeding Responsibilities

One of the most important responsibilities is feeding time. Preparing meals, feeding the animals, and cleaning the food prep area are essential. This takes precedent over all other activities.

Cleanliness is also critical. The food-prep area, animal enclosures, and tool shed need to be cleaned and disinfected regularly. Enrichment and play are very important for the animals. Each enclosure should be supplied with items that provide this.

Off-Site
Duties

Off-Site Duties

Off-site duties can pertain to anything that promotes PrideRock. This includes working with our marketing director and participating in activites such as signing thank-you cards, fundraising intiatives, and working local events.

We want to keep PrideRock’s mission out in the minds of the public.
